Birchbox + Livingproof: With celebrity hair stylist Chris McMillan

It's all in the creativity of the stylist and his or her products.

In a quest to learn more about what the hair and beauty industry has to offer in NY, my friend Melizza Williams and I decided to attend the Birchbox + Livingproof event. The event was being held in an area called Soho, which I was super excited about since I heard it was upscale with outstanding shopping choices. The event was awesome! Jennifer Aniston's hair stylist Chris McMillan was in attendance and gave three lucky ladies a new trendy hair cut. He also demonstrated how Livingproofs No Frizz Humidity Shield Spray should be used for hot summer days. All eyes were fixated on Chris as he was hilarious and very skillful in hair cutting. It was great to see him using different techniques ( razor cutting, notching, etc) on each girl. He gave great advice on subjects as assisting, finding a great salon and working with celebrity clients. Networking was in full effect as I mingled amongst the crowd. Meeting the everyday women to some of Livingproofs administrative workers and educators. As any other networking event there were light appetizers and champagne circling the room. There were several Birchbox stylist demonstrating products on the guests. The night ended with laughs and selfies Chris McMillian. Melizza and I plan to visit Chris at his salon in L.A. In the fall. I made some great connections with some of the women attending and the management team of Livingproof. Stay tuned in...
